The ISDA Commodities Market Infrastructure Group is responsible for addressing trading, operational and infrastructure issues is relation to the commodity derivatives market. It will also serve as a forum for market participants to raise and review changes in the Sub-Annexes to the 2005 ISDA Commodity Definitions.

Particular emphasis is put on EU member states and candidate countries including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Baltic states and Croatia plus other states in the Balkans. Russia, Kazakhstan and the Ukraine are ISDA’s priority jurisdictions in the CIS region. Jurisdictions around the southern and eastern regions of the Mediterranean are also covered by this group.

The committee consists mainly of front office and business people. The Steering Committee aims to address market practice and business matters of topical concern and also determines the overall strategy and direction of ISDA’s activities.

The group consists mainly of legal professionals and holds monthly meetings in Singapore. Legal and regulatory developments in Asia-Pacific (with a focus on South Asia), as well as notable developments in the rest of the world, and ISDA initiatives and efforts in the preceding month are discussed at the meeting.

The Asia-Pacific Interest Rates Derivatives Operations Distribution List consists of interest rates derivatives operations people in the Asia Pacific region. The group aims to address any interest rates derivatives operational issues in the region.

The Asia-Pacific Equity Derivatives Operations Working Group consists of equity derivatives operations people in the Asia-Pacific region. The group aims to address any equity derivatives operational issues in the region.

The Australia Distribution List addresses topical issues of importance to ISDA members active in this jurisdiction, such as submissions on proposed new laws and regulations.

This subgroup to the ISDA Clearing Risk and Capital Committee will discuss and coordinate advocacy in relation to the proposed Canadian CCP resolution legislation.

The ISDA Canadian Members Steering Committee provides senior business and legal direction to ISDA efforts in Canada.

The ISDA CCP Committee is a forum for representatives of CCPs that are members of ISDA to discuss regulatory, legal, policy, risk, infrastructure and other issues facing CCPs that clear OTC derivatives as the markets for these products continue to evolve. It will interact with the Product and Infrastructure Committee Board Committee.
